TRUSS BUILD & TEST

Built and tested a Howe truss to support midspan applied load at top and used Johns Hopkins Truss Simulator App to analyze truss and determine force distributions.
GEARBOX BUILD & PROGRAMMING
Assembled circuits and mechanical components needed to run a DC motor and gearbox using an Arduino Uno. Calculated required gear ratios to lift given mass in as little time as possible while still having enough torque to function. Programmed simple code using C++ and made test runs.
PROJECTILE LAUNCHER
Team project to build and operate a projectile launcher that could automatically adjust angle. Tubes, springs and motors attached to structure built in machine shop.
